As a lawyer, teacher and writer from the United States, Tom has taught classes here at Jinan since 2011. Whether it is Listening and Speaking, English Writing, Debate or American History, his classes are always favored by students. He considers himself a “content teacher” which means that his classes cover subjects of relevance and interest to students so they become more proficient at English while they are learning important life skills such as Creativity, Critical Thinking, and contemporary topics of concern to young adults. Acquired skill and fluency are promoted by encouragement, positive re-enforcement and one-to-one interaction.
